I was thinking that instead of labeling them mini-updates or update based off the amount of info, Concerned Ape could just count content related updates he wishes to info us about as straight up Developer Updates. While for his mini dev updates, it'd be nice if once a week or every other week he'd just post a single screenshot of something, without any comment, for the purposes sparking our imaginations.
I dislike the notion of obligatory updates. Currently he posts when he has something he feels like showing off, which is pretty good.
I personally don't mind the wait between his updates, they are always quite full, show off a wonderful new feature and are something I look forward to. He's a single person writing a game, I'd rather he spend his valuable time doing so, or resting so he doesn't get burned out on it. I have faith.
I have a feeling this idea was brought by looking at the Starbound page, since I believe they do updates everyday. But keep in mind, CA is doing this all on his own, he's not part of a big team so of course these updates will be further apart. When he isn't writing updates, he's putting out lots of new content for us and that's fine with me! I kinda like the excitement of waiting for the next big reveal, I about jumped out of my chair when 10 came out.
