Could there be a more obvious color for those ores because at the moment all 3 of them are white so you never realy know what you are gona get unless you go mine it.
Or you could do what Terraria did with platinum: Make it have hints of pink and blue in it. And Titanium could be darker gray.
Titanium has a white/purple tint with some brown in it so its easy to see it. Silver and Platinum is near impossible to tell apart, platinum is just slightly bigger and whiter than silver.
I think this would be my preferred solution. Honestly I'm not too upset that I can't tell the difference until I'm tunneling through bedrock to grab that fist full of silver I thought was platinum. Honestly it could be fixed by removing the offending ores on planets in systems where they are not relevant... but I do like the idea of just making them glint in some way.
Very yes, sivler/plat are impossible to tell apart. Every time I thought iI had it figured out I actually didn't. Titanium isn't so bad.
Its not the biggest issues since I never leave any ore behind no matter what it is anyways, but it would be nice to be able to tell which is which when you're out looking for a specific one.
Haven't got to titanium yet, looking for plat and i agree. Dont want it more visible, just some clear distinctness from silver! Isn't platinum a lot darker IRL?
titanium has a little red inside of it, silver as darker edges than platinum. it's not very difficult to see the difference.
Unless you are on your starter planet and happen to find platinum instead of silver when you thought you were mining silver. Really makes one take another look at things. But other then that titanium can be seen as different since it look like ore with blood veins in it.
I can agree Silver and Platinum are almost identical. I'm hoping there is a change in textures, for both the ore in the ground, as well as the inventory icons.
