I did this by mistake: if you construct it from top to bottom and leave the very last step - the one that touches the floor - out it, you will pass through while walking.
There is a Mod in the Database. With it you become a better Zoom Level. The rest is maybe photoshop or another Photo manipulation Programm. ^^
Instead of having to download a mod, You can also just edit the "zoomLevel" in the starbound.config. (0.5 works rather well if i remeber correctly).
I haven't actually been doing much recently with the PC release of Dragon's Dogma. Just changed my style a little and a few small buildings.
You smashed together the building blocks of both outpost and hylotl... and it actually works to make something almost new and unique. You might want to do something about the critters spawning on your roof tho.
Unfortunately there's not really a whole lot I can do about them with turrets not firing on anything until it's actively aggressive. Not without altering the aesthetic of it at any rate. If it's not the ground creatures it's generally a whole swarm of those flying squid things that come out of the sky and just float around waiting for me to open a door. Finished the rennovations on my main house and added a bit, I think it turned out pretty well with the mixed style.
WOW! Those houses are really cool! I have not had the game for a very long time so I think this is pretty good for a first house:
@moremuffin I was thinking of getting that as a reward at the end of Feb. Loved the ps3 version. The beginning of my latest installation in the aptly named Charr Rift! Not sure what to call this sort of place, there's Probe Droids everywhere, adding a sense of illicit hideout to it. (the mud is for help on making rooms in progress, since lava is lava.) One of the things I'm doing as I expand this is including guards with civs inside the installation, until monster spawning is fixed no one is truly safe(as is fitting for a place like the Charr Rift...) Funny things: The bandit mission at this point often results in instant success or failure, as the bandits spawn in the lava. This will likely change if I expand outwards, but yay, free reward bags! EDIT: i finished the room with the mud in it, though I got roasted for the first time fixing some holes. I should make a pixel tally of how expensive this installation is to make....
I was wondering, were they pre-existing lunar base platforms (Pre-glad giraffe) or did you find some lurking around somewhere?
Pre-existing, I haven't actually managed to find any recently. They used to show up in underground lunar outposts but I haven't seen a single once since the most recent patch. It's actually why I swapped my roofing style to free up a few more of them for building elsewhere.
I've been putting in a bit of work on my Frackin Universe laboratory. It's mostly finished with the exception of it's upgrade level on a few crafting stations but I'm happy with how it's turned out at this stage. Went and put in a couple of Guard Posts at either end because most of the enemies on this world are flying types and I just get sick of dealing with 10 of them at a time dropping out of the sky every few seconds. The Main Lab itself was where everything kind of spiralled out from, mainly because I'd get a few more workstations and find out I didn't have enough room for them without cramming them all into the tiniest space possible. Which just isn't a good look. My tree cloning facility was one of the places that I just didn't feel fit into the main portion of the lab ... and I just really wanted to make an underground tunnel in that style. Along with a building who's primary purpose is basically just to sit above the tunnel and stop enemies moseying on in like they own the place. And finally what is basically the lower levels guard post, the Mech hanger.
I needed to take my mind off things, so I decided to take a shot of my progress. In order to figure out how deep I'm in, I figured I'd build to the bottom first and find out what I'm able to work with: I managed to hit the magma floor! so now I have a good shot of just what the installation looks like. however the rest is to be done; it's going to require a lot of pixels and wrecked Apex labs/USCM bunkers. The reward bags continue to roll in, but with the larger installation means bandits can pop up in the lower floors as well as in lava.. Thankfully autoguns and guards put up enough fight for me to get to the position, if not kill the bandits. Seeing as how guards attract bandit missions, mo' money mo' probelms. Thing is, I know I need to design the interior, but I'm split on what to do for the outside shape, especially since the civilians ask for new rooms. It makes me wonder about the future implications of the colony system, and whether there's stuff planned on growing a large colony and completing a lot of colony requests....
