They teleport if I move. By the time I get to the shelf with chemicals they are already by my side. That means we can't create a zoo.
If found a way to keep them in place but they really got stuck. When you find an interesting specimen, note the coordinates of his planet, use a new character, capture the specimen with the secondary character, left the capture pod in a chest, then take it with your principal character. Once you've got it, place the creature where you want and here is it, a creature who don't teleport at you ! But in this case he will not move, so if you want to make him in a cage it's great but if you want them to move without disappearing or teleporting I have no solution. :/ There was a mod who allow to tame monster by placing his capture pod in a wooden cage, then he walk around without teleporting or disappearing, this was in a mod from tynaut but it's outdated since Enraged Koala. :/
I absolutely love that bridge design. If there's one thing I can't get enough of - it's really great bridges.
So at first I just wanted to build an outpost styled house ... And then I figured, I'm on an ocean planet so I'll let that take care of my fuel needs instead of going to a moon every time I run low ... And from there I decided, I might as well start populating it ... That's turning out to be a lot of work >.>
I like the bridges in particular. I love this. Some nice ideas in there. And here is a wood cabin of my own:
I usually have my ship as my home, as I place all the furniture there, but three days ago I decided to make something cool. Here's my ocean lab house thing. All the wiring: Sadly, I have to admit that I cheated some items in. Most notably I cheated in at least three quarters of the building blocks used because they were horribly expensive to print in great numbers, and I spent so long trying to get more pixels to print more, when I realized I could cheat in items. But by that time, I already had most of the lab done, only in cobblestone. I wanted to have these light metal blocks all along, but I wanted to place all the furniture first, so I did it in cobblestone. I also wanted to have more PCs and stuff in the bottom floor, but I more or less forgot to do so. I only realized that after I got the screenshots stitched together by a friend. I also planned for crops in the room with the dirt, but same story. (Also, sorry for the shitty stich job, my friend is not really a photoshop expert and I can't get the program due to reasons. I also couldn't get the HUD out of the screenshots because I can't use alt+keys in any program, I run linux.) ((Edit: I could actually have reassigned the hide HUD key to something that didn't use alt... goddammit))
I'm going to be honest, i want to steal some of your ideas because thats F***ing cool! Can you post up a picture of that building on the right? the one at the end of the bridge with the people?
Alright, took a few more shots of what I've got done so far. First off the rest of the house in the right of the picture of the bridge. For the time being this is just another house until I make up my mind between communications tower or power plant (That and also figure out how I'd even design either of them properly) . And finally the main reason I even chose to settle on this planet in the first place. The sunrises are gorgeous. Also the reason why there's just so many turrets is just because the npc tenants have all the survival instincts of a teenager in a horror movie. EDIT: Just for the hell of it a zoomed out shot of the whole thing so far.
That memorial is so beautiful, i havent played with signs yet and already i love em. Here is a shot of the agricultural level in my asteroid complex. I need to work on finer decor, but i like what's coming along so far. The whole place is so big though. What do people do for screenshots of really large buildings?
I'm glad you like it! As for the screenshot problem, you can either photoshop multiple screenshots together or download the Extra Zoom mod, which lets you zoom out pretty far. I also made another house:
HEY! no self smack talk around heerreee!!!!!!! Be nice... even to your stuff![DOUBLEPOST=1441646327][/DOUBLEPOST] Lots of good stuff here! TOO much good stuff. *steal* and of course i'm not going to copy it block for block. I'm digging the gardens you have set up along with the multiple buildings set up. What confuses me is what is the structure bellow the water. Fuel storage?
