Building/Ship Show off your house :D

After clearing the tier 10 planets I've retired to the life of a farmer. It isn't much, but it's enough. Also in the process of moving all my crafting tables to my ship so... put it as a link because contains some later gear stuff in the pic. SPOILERS

I've been holding off on building something really creative for a bit while I figure out what I even want to build

 

Dang all of your bases look fantastic.

 

everyone else is posting screenshots but i dont feel like spending the fuel to go back and take a screenshot, but i do have this video i made showing off my house. it isnt much yet, im not very far.

 

I'm not spending too much effort into building when there's bound to be a wipe in our near future:

I got a speedbuild video for a house i made earlier today ^^

This is a mixture of the traditional and modern styles found partly in the avian homes of the game. I wanted a cozy looking, functional but quality house with an added bunker below. The latter rather turned into something like a spaceport now though.

And the bunker part where I will place all the crafting stations etc. . Just finished the entry though.


I chose the planet because it seems to have a nice avian farming community. I built a new house around the nearest three settlers and for now they adapted to it and survived with guards posted outside.

 

putting this in spoilers since i don't know if everyone would know about them yet... no house in this post sorry not that creative

you know i'm quite suprised that i havn't seen any buildings with active/inactive stone walles (i don't know what they are called in starbound so gunna use terraria name).. are we not able to build them yet or are people just not using them?? (i know they are in game since i've seen one in a mad scientist lap )

OVerall it's coming along well and I'm quite happy with it. However, I'm currently trying to figure out how to survive the immense chill on the Asteroids, which are floating just above my Space Station. I've got the Impervium Armor set and I've been using Torches, Camp Fire and Space Heaters, but it's a pain to have to place them every five feet just to stay warm.


I'll be updating and uploading a newer video in a day or so, once I've completed the majority of my work.

 

Less space station and more Hyper Elevator. That's really cool! You put a ton of effort into that!

 

Thanks! I just finished adding the furnishings and some extensions as well.

As for the Hyper elevator vs Space Station comment, I'll have to agree as my knowledge of both are minimal and I'm building this purely off of what I THINK looks spacey haha.

 

It's gettin' there I need more interesting furniture though

I posted this in the screenshots forum but I'll post it here too! This character likes having a simple place to live so it's pretty quaint. He lets the peaceful monsters roam around his fields because there's plenty to eat. BUT HE AIN'T GONNA TAKE NO GUFF FROM HOSTILES, and his scythe will make sure of that!
