I think it's about time I post Handie's house. It's not very fancy but it's where we've been living in since the very beginning - we found one of those pre-gen house with an owl clock and it kind of just went from there.
So, on my main character, I usually set aside a barren world for use with modules in a box, so i have a decent flat expanse for building and then scanning for transport. I decided to take some screenshots of my WIP base that will eventually end up on a rain-forest planet. Like I said, its a work in progress, and I only have part of the landing bay/docking grounds done so far and not much else.
So, I haven't built a full other room yet like the entrance building or the docking bay, just a smaller addition, but since this one has some wiring and is more functional than just a big space, I figured I'd dedicate a post to it alone. With that said, lets look at the Explorerpod garage. So here it is! I plan on adding a second one soon, but this is enough to demonstrate the functionality. In it there's enough space for two Explorerpods. The switch acts as a locking mechanism for the whole thing. When you pull it, it turns on the lights and allows the hatch to open. The way it all works is player via player detectors allow the hatch to open, thanks to an and gate that needs both the switch to be thrown and the detectors to be active. This makes it so you can keep the hatch from opening every time you walk over it, and open only when you want to access the pods. Here's a shot of the (extremely basic) wiring. Not only is it wired, but it's all built so that the Explorerpods can actually fly all the way out the hanger. And one final pic to show what it looks like without any Explorerpods.
This is so awesome! Fantastic job ^_^ What mod are you using for the awning/sail object above the sofa?
Glad you like 'em! Too bad it isn't much interactions here, maybe in the future I will make some builds that more... functional.
So, my lab has seen a ton of progress... I finished up the garage, and put in a space for a tenant. Finally got an actual space for my telepad rather than just a flag on a platform. And also, the most interesting part that isn't quite finished decoration-wise, but function-wise is ready to go... The sub tunnel. Why am I using a submarine to get between clouds? Because I thought it'd look cool and had no idea just how insane it would be to build, specifically the wiring. And yeah, everything is wired up, using the Macrochips mod for the logic control, and Fracken' Universe Item network stuff to move the water around. Other than the submarine port, everything else in this section is incomplete. Heck, even the sub port still needs some lighting and decoration, so that's not done completely either. But yeah, hope you all like the big update on this thing, and, also, should I make my own thread for this place rather than posting it here?
