Floran thinksss the cellsss in the basssement are like a factory farm, but would make really fatty meatsss with little flavor.
My workshop started out as a small wood-and-bricks building overlooking the Core Fragment mine, and built into the side of a local mountain. It... grew from there, but maintained the original setup of four floors (with my room at the top), a garden overlooking Doreen's campsite, and top hatches to access the west side. The site relies on an underground lava reactor for heating and power needs. There aren't many electronics on-site, so most of it goes to the teleporter and the launch computer. It's an old design, and makes quite a bit of waste, so I had to build an annex for recycling that. After I equipped my hanging garden with a sprinkler I was able to build above it (since the rain was no longer needed for irrigation), and so I added the reinforced launch annex for Terramart containers. I was remiss to add a RADAR dish for orbital triangulation so the site relies on SAIL projecting orbital clearance based on mathematical modelling, not real-time tracking. There haven't been any launch failures or collisions so far... Here you can see also the roofside and lateral gardens. Both of these I kept for aesthetic and nostalgic reasons. they provide little of my food, now. Most of it comes from the sub-oceanic farm a few lightyears away. (I equipped the entrance with a security door because Doreen has no concept of private property, but it's not visible in this screenshot) Here you can see the livestock farm, the topside farming area (again, mostly aesthetic) and the sea- farm. The Museum annex is a recent adition. Construction began after I bought a book on fossils and became interested in paleontological excavation. Here you can see a few samples, as well as a collection of geodes. I rather lost interest in fossil hunting for a while so these specimens are not yet complete. But here you can see the rest of my museum, including the chest collection, the bug shelves and the small annex I made for Shadow mausoleums. I keep the lights off mainly because the luminescence given by the Hollow and Glowing Ball looks better at night.
My attempt at a farm house: This is where I intended to end But have since extended it for a chicken coup and work room: Which one do you guys think looks better? Hm...

Not really a house persé, but hey, some people might like the remoteness of an iceberg and I have to show it off: This setup generates ~2330 fuel per 2 minutes, 36 seconds (each bin holds ~1165). You can turn both bins on or off separately and drain them if needed (so to put in other liquids) by turning the valve and flipping the lever together. (Safety measure.)

..... And here i thought it was impossible to make avali architecture look good underwater. Goodness knows I've tried. You sir, are a genius..... EDIT: What are those blocks in the background that you used to make waterfalls? I'd love to use something like that for my own builds.
Ah, undersea domes. I see I wasn't the only one who had this idea. Though mine is... a bit bigger and contains an entire tenement building (I imagine a soap opera of sorts: a Fenerox, an Apex Scientist, a Glitch Prince and a Vampire Floran living in a brick home under the sea) Do you have any particular way if making the dome roughly circular? mine is more of a flat-topped pyramid because it's so big I couln't keep track of blocks on both sides.
My Asteroid base in progress. Built everything to look generic and modular like these structures where prefabs that came out of universal assemblers and then put together like Ikia furniture! My Quarters in the upper right corner, main access tubes below that, Fabricator modules, storage lockers and airlock to the left. I plan on putting in a greenhouse, power plant, life support and an ancient ruin with a teleporter deep in the asteroid. Note I am using the frackin universe mod and cheating with a spawn mod. XP The base is heavily inspired by a table top horror game called Eclipse Phase, where there is a faction of "isolates" who live in "tin can" habitats and get everything they need from harvesting materials from asteroids.
There is one: http://community.playstarbound.com/resources/wedit.3722/ http://community.playstarbound.com/resources/munari-race.1655/ /spawnitem munarifakewaterfall
This WEdit sounds very much like Minecraft's WorldEdit. If it has roughly the same features, it will be my best friend, from now until forever. Though nothing can last forever. I forgot which song these two lines came from.
These are really good. Now I can turn an island in a ocean world into a huge mountain without spending an eternity placing blocks. And the fake waterfall is just what I needed for my mill: @Pohany I did see the proper watermill in your mod, but I had already built this house and it looked small here. But There will be other mills...
Seriously need to begin to build some of the stuff I have in mind ! One thing : from which mod is that shallop on the left ? Was looking to get it
I don't know the mod. I installed a collection to play with friends and it had a lot of mods. Sorry. I'll see if I can check which one has it later, when I'm back home.
