Building/Ship Show off your house :D

Not sure if I posted this already, but here's a thing

 

can someone share their player and universe folder please?

as i said i am not good at building things

 

People aren't going to upload their entire universe and share it with you. If you really want these builds in your universe, use the images as a template and rebuild them yourself. You may learn a thing or two about building in Starbound. That technique is also not restricted by game version, since 1.0 is literally coming out in a week and it will include an entire game wipe.

 

I do wish there was a way to import/export buildings or, even nicer, save worlds, so you don't lose everything when an update happens.

does it not do that if you have a copy saved as a backup away from them game files then put it back in after the wipe - would not your world still be there or would it not work? - assuming the universe planet addresses dont change (ie an ocean world changes and becomes a desert this should work shouldn't it?)

 

You can create a copy of the worlds \ planet. And then copied into another world \ planet. Just rename the planet to replace the existing planet
You can create multiple copies of the same planet.

Added on to my space station. It now has a farm, a bathroom, and a living quarters.

 

I really hate the use of Flickr, Pohany, because it makes me unable to zoom in and see the fine details of your builds. I'd really like to see you use other image hosting services...

I love this thread so much. It gives me inspiration and seeing how it is still alive after, what, 3 years? Astounds me xD

My first house was a collection of boxes somewhere in a hole in the ground

That's really cool. I wish those were the boxes I meant!
But unfortunately, mine were a stack of wooden crates with a lamp on top. It was also the local monster gathering spot.

 

Doing what I do best. Fix up broken things in minimalist situations.

 

This is my base for now. But I'm gonna need a much bigger one once I bring in the Fluffalos...

 

Speaking of fixer-uppers, I challenge someone to move into one of the old Hylotl ruined/sunken libraries and make it new again.

 

Oh dear god no. I found a ruined Hylotl city or whatever it was. You'd have to be a mad(wo)man to try and fix that up.

Also I looted half the place.

On another note, I found a functional Hylotl city. Like every Starbound player I suffer from rampant kleptomania I wanted to get a few things because they're cool.
So I found the generator and turned it off. Then I started stealing stuff. Then I made several holes in the walls. Not to mention I killed a few citizens.
Long story short, I made an improvised Rapture. The last living people are stuck in the arcade room.



They have quests for me because I'm so nice.
