We can not edit the ships as we want.

 

There's mods for it, as is made obvious by the fact that I have made a fair few.

EDIT: I just remembered don't quote me on this but I think that Tiy once said there might be some customization to ship's layout i'm not sure thoe.

Here's what I made fora new character on Nightly:

 

Workbench gets wet.

 

Had to add turrets due to the planet spawning flying enemies every 5 seconds and upsetting the residence.

 

I pray for the day that you can manually equip and station guards and have Vladimir the Minigunner patrol your city while his buddy kills everyone by rocket launcher spam

 

Found a way to warm my house from below.

 

I don't know what you mean with "Warm up from below"


But this house is really, really cool. In all games I have a love for mining based (which it looks like to me), WW2 industrial or futuristic-ish.

Lol. My character believes that that Flufallo will heat his house like a pot on the fire. A fireplace would probably work better...

I make my houses with what I have. They need a place for each crafting station and anything else I have planned, like the room below for the Flufallo. Sometimes having less blocks force you to get creative and build something different (especially the walls). But in the nightly is a lot easier to get some blocks. Some recipes provide 50 blocks for a metal bar, for example.

 

My creative-built houses are just an idea I work out.
"I want to build an alpine house" and off I go.
My legit houses just... kinda happen.

One of the rare "Legit houses built by Firestorm258", this started as a simple wooden house until I found one of those pillar ruins and a ruined tower, and I just smashed some stuff together.

 

A quick fix is to not make the stair connect with the floor

 

Made in the Nightly. I'm proud of this fustercluck of an underground house that was originally just a temporary hole in the ground.
It has a small farm, one outside, and one underwater growing Coralcreep for some good income. At any one moment I have about 60-90 things of silk fibres at a time.
There is a commons room, four inhabitants, and the crafting room is the original hole. I always seem to transform my first house into my only house.
There are some Hylotl City objects down there, which I totally didn't steal from a Hylotl City. One Floran, One Avian and Two Hylotl. The room with the green tubes in the corner is my room, which is actually the one with the most furniture, but it is the only bedroom without a wood wall.
I have a drainage system up above, which prevents water from getting into my base during heavy rains. It drains into a cave next to my base. The hole is basically used as a dump for excess liquids. I might make a rainwater tank sometime too, it'd be convenient for lots of excess water, although I don't see a use for it.
I'm also planning to make a spa room with some healing water, but I can't find a way to make smoke/fog.
Most of the objects, as you can see, are a hodgepodge of random items I scavenged from around the galaxy. Proud to be a Floran.
Any advice on how I can improve this would be appreciated,

 

Don't connect it with the ground by one or two and that should do it.

 

first of the build looks random yet charming, and for the fog look for a foundry mini biome they have tons of stuff that makes fog/smoke.

 

Yeah I have literally NO clue how to build an actual house.
In any game, I have 0% building skill.

 

afaik there's supposed to be fog machines or something in the newest nightlies?
