Here is my farm. Working on my sixth year now and progress has been made!


Animals pen

My wheat are and orchards

My main crops plot: Strawberries, blue, etc..



Secondary plot: usually used for corn summer through spring

1/2 ancient, and 1/2 rare seeds

currently at 429 kegs (most of them produce Ancient Fruit Wine and during the winter I resort to fruit trees)



thinking about selling animals for more kegs...



3 orchards like this, each has about 40-50 fruit trees for each season

entire farm has crystal flooring (from using refined quartz which is easy to get from buying 500 crab pots and using recycling machines on broken glasses and cd-roms)

and yes that's a skeleton statue in the nursery (but I'm not married in-game so no worries on the baby being scared).

Used a few minor texture changes. Namely gravel to grass and shorter tall grass.

The Barn and Coop encompass the pon and lake, respectively. Mainly to give the animals a source of outside water and add a bit of realism. Also, trees for shade and filler, since all grass is dull.

The other barn is my "brewery" with a large vineyard of ancient fruit out front. The cliff edge made things a bit awkward so I fenced it off, added fruit trees (So they don't spread) and tall grass to fill it in.
The outside of the barn boasts a small little storage area and the animal gate is meant to look like a garage door for shipments. The tree hides a gate behind it to get into the fenced area, which is planned for a "overgrown shrine" for grandpa.

The greenhouse is surrounded by oak trees because I love their look and they produce resin needed for kegs. I also like the "lush green" feeling it adds around it. Fruit trees are beside it, maybe because they fit and I couldn't figure out a better spot.

Beehive area is both decorative and functional. I don't really need honey/money at this point so I mostly just wanted something pretty but still have a purpose.

Lastly, the central patch of crops is temporary. I plan on adding a "park" area but I haven't come up with a design I like yet.

Lastly, I'm not sure what to do with the lower right side of my farm...I was thinking slime hut but I don't know how good I could make it look with limited space.

Regarding the grass..can you have it in-game look like that??

 

Look up the Grasspath mod in the Mod Forums. It's just a simple .xnb file switch, it replaces 1 kind of flooring with "grass". The one I use replaces the wood path with grass, though it still sounds like wood when you step on it and it's Green all year round which looks a little funny in the winter, tho I just assume that it's turf or something.

There is also a mod that makes all the dirt into grass. Its ok? But the texture used looks -really- off. I prefer "Less Vibrant Dirt" also used here.

There is a different file for spring, fall, and winter. Bit of a hassle but worth it, imo.

 

Your round enclosures are very pretty and a refreshing change. Love it.

 

Thanks! I feel like square ones are a bit dull.

The main thing I love about my farm is the inclusion of the ponds and such. I hate seeing farms that ignore or build around them. Same for the pet pen and grandpas shrine.

 

I use stardew.farm for my images, it is a very fun program that runs in the background and uploads a picture of your farm every time you sleep so people can see each other's progress in real time I love it.

The bottom left is going to be a slime farm... but I am thinking of shrinking it down. I don't know yet.

I use a mod that lets me set how big my sprinklers are because I find the 4 tile start a little bit infuriating.

I generally use the smaller farm for pumpkins and anything that needs a trellis. This is my second playthrough and I haven't focused on the community center (yet) so I don't have the desert or anything else yet. Will probably show another screenshot in the summer, because I plan to take my yuge money and buying a bunch of flower baskets for decoration.

Haven't decided what to do with the empty spaces. Anyone have suggetions?

Thanks! It took -multiple- restarts and hours in the planner. Sadly, its still not done!

 

So here is my final farm as of "beating" the game (the statue of perfection and the stardew valley hero award). I am going to keep playing this file probably when the 1.1 update comes out, but I may do a lesbian girl farmer in the mean time and get her friendly with Emily. ;P

Horse is a large gray wolf.

3 of each barn animal 4 of each coop animal.

Will also probably be uploading more images later in the week taken from the game itself because I have lots of modded textures (including a recolor of the barn and house done by myself, using someone else's roof texture. Will also credit them )

Yeah. 2 playthroughs, one nearly 100% (A few things in the donation category to get yet), and 150 hours. Very fun.

I do have to ask, in your screenshot, is your dirt darker than usual, or is it my eyes? Because I don't dig the yellow dirt, but haven't found myself an acceptable solution.

I went through literally every mod page I could find for good, hidden gems like these. Mostly texture stuff but -very- worth it. The only issue with this mod is that cobble and stepping stone pathes are hard to see.
