Community Show off your farm!

I started to think on make my farm beautiful and organized. I took inspiration from many farms in this post, and now that I don't have to worry about the money, I started to fix my far. I have to readd the "slim castle" (I destroyed it because I need to "remodel" my farm, but I am planning to re build it again sometime (I just need to find space to do it).

So far, the trees are still growing and will be full size soon. I didnt want to cover everything with wood or paths like a lot of people I have seen outside these forums, so I am trying to keep it as "natural" as I can.

 

This is my second save, and my goal was to be more organised this time, and create a beautiful, neat farm. It's now spring year 3, and...Umm...hopefully third time's the charm.

 

After hours of browsing other player's farm pics and designs, I've finally decided on how I'm going to have my own. Can't wait for it to be done, and maybe I'll share it on here too, though I'm not sure it'll be half as impressive as some on here!

 

Too bad i haven't decorated it yet, still going for those 7mil before year 1 challenge haha. The farms on this thread are seriously neat and im loving every single one of them, but i don't know how to take a /ss/ of the whole farm zoomed out, someone can explain me the trick?

 

What most people do is take multiple screenshots around the farm zoomed all the way out and then stitch them together in photoshop or something similar.

 

You can also go to http://upload.farm and upload your save. It will make picture of your whole farm and give some more information as well.

 

I didn't know about this! What an awesome site.

 

It's pretty amazing! Only problem that I can tell is that it will not recognize mods or retextures. Just keep that in mind.

 

Does not function for me. Perhaps not set up for 1.1 yet?

Tip (I think): The Junimo only come out when there are crops to harvest so if you have some in fenced off areas, like my flowers, they'll just roam about all the time since they can't get to them. Livens up the farm a bit

 

The building colours are beautiful.

that reddit post also shows the inside of my house which i partially modded, but 1) the kitchen was modded by someone else and i can't remember who and don't feel comfortable giving out the download of my interior without crediting them properly and 2) i still have to eventually figure out where to change the kids' beds. also the wood paneling around the outside edge of the house - if you change it it changes in everyone's houses which i didn't want to do so it's ugly and orange for now.

 

Awww that little Junimo area is super cute! This is the first full farm screenshot I've seen with the new stuff, thanks for sharing! Also good to know about the Junimo and the fences, I'll remember that when I get mine going. ^_^

EDIT: i noticed that my shed between the silos and the mill next to the wooden lamp didnt get rendered, thats odd. but they're there!

 

Has upload.farm been updated to use the new 1.1 content yet? Sheds and Mills are new and might not be set up on the site this soon.

 

Just uploaded my wilderness farm and it gave me an error. The farm is uploaded, the info is there, but the photos of the farm and farmer are buggy.

So no, it hasn't been updated yet.

 

Spring 11, Year 6. This is from farm planner, so some of the objects looks funky. I've used to have more barns and shit but during the years, I've redone the farm like 4 times. Earned about 16M in total.

With 1.1, I'm gonna start new save, so this is done.

 

Don't mind all the avatars, I really only did this to practice a new way of taking screen shots of things and stitching them together. Wrote a program to do the SS and then used a program called AutoStitch. Worked out pretty well IMO! The neat thing is it took my only about 45 seconds to do it all. Pretty much the time it took me to walk the farm once and then processing the images.

Not perfect but just for fun I did an image of the town square.

Decided to use some Photoshop skillz too. Same image as above but shopped. Took about 10 or so minutes. Sorry for hijacking this as a "look at me" but it started out as a "show off the farm" honestly! lol
