Should Starbound have a demo in beta?

This idea just kinda popped up in my head. I'm somewhat ambivalent towards the matter, however.

Maybe some people may need a taste of the game first, and then decide if they should support it?
Or, they could just watch YouTube Lets Plays and be all cool about it.

Still, not sure. What do you guys think?

 

Most people just watch a video of gameplay and think "Hey that looks kind of like Terraria", and if they liked Terraria they'll buy it. That's what I did anyway.I don't think a demo is really necessary until the game is fully released.

 

I'm pretty neutral on this, so I could go this route, too. Full release will give them a bigger experience than what it basically is now (mine, craft, kill, build).

 

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Since a demo would quickly be outdated (especially in this early stage of beta) it is not worth spending time and resources on something as unimportant as a demo. It is better saved for release, if even then.
