This is an idea to help with story pacing based off the old Friends of Mineral town endings. In that game you got small cut scenes as an ending if you did certain things before two(?) years were up. I think this could work at the end of every month in Stardew. Have some small 30-60 second scenes play out based off of what you've done or people you spent time with. Like whichever crop you grew the most of that month. For instance, if you shipped a bunch of pumpkins, a scene with Lewis and Shane helping you load some pumpkins into Lewis' truck and then one falls out spooking Lewis, the player and Shane laughs then a slime bursts out of the pumpkin scaring everyone off. Maximum of four play out and then the 1st of the next month starts. You could also have special cut scenes for unlocking achievements.
Had to mull over this one for a bit... I do like the idea... Would love to see something like this, but could definitely imagine it would be a lot of work with the assets. Especially for the truck scene you described. I mean you would have to do all the crops over to fit into the truck, as in making them at least look piled and such in to it; plus maybe the simple animation of delivery from point A to B loading the truck. At least the default graphic of produce could be used for them delivering to. It is the back of the truck with lots in them that would need quite a lot of new graphics to accommodate. Regardless of the work behind it, I still think it would be a lovely idea, seeing what you did best that month; or kind of like a recap of what was accomplished that month. An interesting touch for sure.
