Everyone talks about the erchius boss, but the shockhopper has some stupid attack where it flys across almost the entire arena doing 200 damage to you if you are in the way, with NO way of predicting it. its ridiculous, and its the only reason iv'e had trouble in the fight, but its not good that theres only one attack thats a threat, and that attack is broken.

What armor set are you wearing? I suggest going for the violium set if you want to avoid dying in one hit. Shield also helps. His charge attack usually only brought me down maybe half my bar if it hit at all.

just be ready to jump at absolutely any point in the fight (you will eventually be able to tell when he is about to dash)
every one of his abilities has a easy counter to it, its just a matter of finding it (still havnt found any counter for overload besides using shields)

He isn't that hard. I beat him with Aegisalt armor.

Just double jump over that attack

If you hit it once with a ranged weapon, you can see it's health bar, as well as what attacks they're doing.

It makes PVE easier since that's how they're telegraphing their attacks.

I found this guy really easy, as far as I can tell, he has a completely set pattern of attacking, so once you figure that out, it's simple as. The only hardish part is avoiding the dash, but as Radial says, if you're peppering him with ranged fire (I beat him primarily with Aegisalt Armour and an Aegisalt Rifle/a Shock Rod), you'll be able to track what attacks he's using or preparing even if he's off screen, so just prepare to double jump when you see the dash preparing.

As for positioning, I just hugged one of the far walls for much of the fight, using the shock rod to shoot down missiles, and just crouching in the corner during the Overload. You get hit once at most, if at all by Overload, and have lots of time to shoot down missiles if you need it, as well as the most time to dodge a charge attack. Bear in mind that he charges both into the far wall, and back to the middle again, possibly as he gets lower on health.

i figured out that because sheild 2stronk and that i could BARELEY survive it at full health, i just blocked everything except that and used a bunch of nanowraps, whenever he used the ogreload attack i used my sun rod or whatever it is to hurt him, then actually survive. still, its ridiculous.

    Ridiculous, but you survived!
