    vanilla quests are not removed by intention. just the part of theire rewards section which upgrades the shipmap is removed to prevent overwriting your shipmap.

    Would that still be necessary if only the T8 ship was customizable? I know next to nothing on how ship files or anything to do with them works so I am sorry for all the questions.

    i remember useing this is a mod pack for a server and so i had just downloaded it so i can try to make a huge ship with it. just one question with added custom races (like lobunny or those magi cats or the ponix/mlp race mod colab thing) that adds custom ships of there own, will i be able to use this wonderful mod with them or will i have a bit of trouble having them play nice with eachother? also i'm useing fracken universe as well so will i have trouble with it as well?

    Is it possible to make this mod compatible with previously existing characters? I have a really cool character I dont want to get rid of, but I want the ship building mod.
    I've already checked, it works with new characters, but I spent a lot of time on my character.

    I posted awhile ago about wire tool not unocking, sure you could do the give command but it doesnt go into hotbar correctly, well i found a quick fix if anyone likes this.
    1. Play the game with out mod, and finish all quest until you unlock it or unlock all.
    NOTE: Make sure nothing is on ship or in lockers or you well lose them.
    2. exit game, download mod
    3. put mod in mod folder
    4. goto C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starbound\giraffe_storage\player
    5. Locate the file with .shipworld and delete it.
    6. start the game and you should have wire tool plus a starter customable ship.

    @Ridge106 follow these steps well work too

    P.S. This trick works on pre-exiting characters,

    Move all the important stuff from your ship onto a planet, then delete your character's shipworld file. It should be replaced by the mod's customizable shipworld.

    how well does this work in multiplayer?

    my case is i host a private server for just me and a friend, so the server would have the mod installed, will his game conflict if he doesn't have it installed?

    I wonder if you'd consider either adding a way to paint the Tileset's or consider adding the Floran purple as a set? You can reference a Floran ship door if you need specifics.

    It'd be nice if you could either tie in or semi-fix the AI system, as well.

    Also, is the space suit the same as the one you can get from the mining complex?

    just dled this update, great job on the update but, err are the silver armor pieces for the spacesuit recipe craftable?

    spacesuit is copied from that one but effect wise a custom one. I might patch into the one you mentioned to provide the same effect.

    we dont use the AI system at all. whats the problem with that? Or are you suggesting do implement it? One of the plans is to replace the initial ship repair part of those AI missions with something more to do, as we have the parts for exactly that available anyway. Its TODO though.[DOUBLEPOST=1424970870][/DOUBLEPOST]
    They are in \recipes\armor\other\silver\*.recipe of vanilla, so they are craftable in principle. I dont know if they unlock regularily though. If they are to hard to get (not on the normal progression path everyone gets) ill replace them.

    ahh, that's why, armor progression doesn't include silver but jumps from iron to steel then on to titanium, i think, then durasteel. no gold or silver armor now craftable

    Awesome that you edited the space suit to work. :D

    There's no real problem with it, I just noticed even after you do the requirements the AI is still buggy. IE, when you reboot it the first time, it doesn't seem to remember it was rebooted- not sure if that's because its a custom ship or what. A lot of people (me included) use custom AI's just because we don't care for things like a horse as our AI. I wasn't sure if there were any compatibility issues between custom AI and a custom ship after I saw the AI seems to bug out. Your mod is excellent, so being as compatible as possible helps with getting it out there.[/quote]

    Could you please release a list of non- compatible mods? I have wanted to try your mod but it doesn't seem to work with the Base in a Box mod because of sub-folders that are named the same. modules-in-a-box. Reply if this can be solved or not

    base in a box and my mod use the same library called "modules in a box". you only need that folder once. it doesnt matte from which of the two mods. good suggest with the list. if you do one ill post it here.
