    we are working on the other races. If you want to do race themed ships do them in parts just as we did with the human set so it is flexible and reproducable by other people. dont do them "hardcoded" as a background picture which will not be flexible over the games progression and development. atm noone here has the time for the apex parts, if you wanna come up with that and join us (there should be enough templates in the human folder) we would be glad for the help.

    i can sue all the blocks i like on it?

    its just the human ship or changes all the bases races?

    Can i add it to a custon race with a medium coding level?, and a low level?

    Went and made http://prntscr.com/2d1tml. I didn't remember the vent space limit until after, so the system won't work. :/ looks like life support isn't going to be used for now.

    amazing! nice :)

    With the life system it works like this:
    - check if in a box surrounding each vent there is a closed room. travel a maximum distance of X to the left and right and up and down to find the boarders of that room. The maximum distance of X is initialy set to 50 because the way i programmed it requires to initialize memory of (1+50+50)x(1+50+50). if that doesnt find a closed room because it had to travel further then 50, then do it again but this times with 250x250. that will take longer. if that also fails try it with 1000x1000. only the memory initialisation of that is noticeable. it is redundant to the steps before but when you come from 50 to 250 you only are redungdant for 20% of the blocks, so thats ok compared to the increased speed it gives you when you not initialize memory for 1000x1000 blocks for every tiny room.

    anyway, there is a cpu load improoved version of it already done and it needs some other fixes as well. will be up soon. may maybe i change the core of how the memory is initialized.

    Great mod. I first picked it up because I kept running out of ship locker room and... well... room in my ship for piles of chests... (I really need to stop taking everything I see in dungeons), but after I added my first room, I couldn't stop!

    I'd just like to make one suggestion. I used somewhere over 500 steel just to make the metal objects and steel supports (you can see where I gave up and used a ton of glass). It would be nice if you could edit the recipes to give 2 or 3 per craft, kind of like how the vanilla resource block are...

    Production count for each of the 3 block types raised to 2 for 1 steel. will be in the next patch. The thing is that we did not have any time to balance the mod in terms of costs of the items or tiering the recipes. if someone comes up with a fair and well balanced listing im glad to implement that.

    you can sue and use all the blocks you see. also craft them.

    every race starts with the same modified ship. only the content of the shiplocker is race specific.

    you can add other mods to this. every file we use in the mod starts with "madtulip_" so they are unique and wont interfere with unknown file names of other mods. the only vanilla file that we still have to overwrite (until the next official patch presumably) is the universe.config. if another patch you use also contains a universe.config then you manualy have to merge the contents and use only the merged version in only one of the mods.

    there also a prblem with the Printer, it doesnt work and the mech thing neither work :rofl:

    And about the ship thing, i have a problem where i cant play moded race's games :rofl: specifically my felin, and my alteniar Game :rofl: UU

    please contact the autors of the mods that dont work for you. this has most probably nothing to do with this mod.

    So do i need to do anything besides put the folder in my mod folder? none of my existing characters can make the book.

    yes you copy the madtulip folder in the /mods folder.

    you then eigther start a new character
    OR
    you make a backup of the starbound/player directory and afterwards delete the ".shipworld" files of your character(which are inside the /player directory). that would result in your onld ship and content on that ship beeing gone(pic it up before you delete it to save it in your player). you start with our new modable ship when you start the game again and there is the book. this is because the game then can not locate your .shipworld save and will create a new one from scratch. this scratch is loaded from out mod the same way as a new character would load that from the game libraries.

    please compare that solution to creating a compleet new character if something is missing

    all this will hopefully not be neccessary that long anymore. bartwe said he is coding something that will import new patch states into old characters. this will most certain also work for mods.

    With the latest update you released, this shouldn't mess with the old update right? AKA Rev 87 to 92. I shouldn't need to restart my character again?
