So since the winter update i still have never gotten past a tier 1 ship. I know in the original winter update penguin bay was not working but is supposedly fixed now. However he still tells me to scratch a few more backs around the outpost to my character who has done every quest and my other character who just finished he floran quest. And all of my attempts at using admin powers to upgrade the ship yield and item called "perfectly generic item" or something to that extent. Any one got a way for me to actually upgrade my ship? i could use more room, and i would like to actually have one.
First, check your quest log. You likely have a unfinished quest in it. You need to do every "misc" quests for your current stage before you can upgrade. Misc quests are quests that arent part of the main quest progression chain, aka you do not get a nano-suit from them and they do not lead to missions or require a certain armor. Did you do the three coffee girl quests for starters? (Getting her coffe, then a coffe glass, then a steel spoon).

That may be it. I was to lazy to go bake the man a cake and my Nova kid has done all the quests but he is from the unstable winter update so his may just be broken. Thanks
