Now your ship can double jump too! (or be a morph ball and use the grapple glitch to fly without fuel) They'll just be like any other tech, found in chests around the place, but instead of upgrading you it adds abilities to your ship and uses fuel when used instead of energy, ship tech can only be used in area that are open to the sky. Ship tech will have it's own console and 4 tech can be active at once instead of 1 like with player tech. Here's some I thought up just now: Supply: drops a box on the planets surface that has 10 random food items and 5 nano wraps, uses 100 fuel per use Excavate: digs 5 by 5 hole under you instantly, uses 50 fuel per use Land: de-orbits and lands on you, uses 200 fuel per use Shoot: shoots a laser at your mouse cursor, deals 1000 damage to unarmored enemies, uses 20 fuel per use Recharge: instantly recharge your energy by 400, uses 50 fuel per use Sell: instantly gives you 100000 pixels, uses 1000 fuel and a ship per use
I think selling can be abused especially if you play multiplayer and party up xD First off, in single player you make one char to sell the ship to get pixels Make a 2nd char to grind up stuff and build a base on the planet the character that sold the ship is on Now use the char who sold their ship to craft with pixels/convert to pixels to blocks (losing 40% but its a small price) then transfer over In multiplayer even if you don't have a ship you could always party and beam to another player's ship
Or simply materialize pixels, go to a multiplayer server, open a new starbound window and on it play your other character in the same server, meet yourself in the server and hand over da money.
