Ship space

Is there any way to increase your ship space? Like a second floor or something so that I could make my ship like a small house?

 

There are plans for ship upgrades in the future, but if you want a larger ship immediately you should check out the mod library under the modding subforum here: http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?threads/mod-library.43251/ under 'Vehicle and Mount mods'.

 

what he said , currently there is no way to upgrade your ship as of now , so the only way is by modding the game to expand space on your ship

 

i'd love to see customiseable ships, but i think it should have some limitations. Like certain materials being required for hull blocks, an (upgradeable) limit on total allowed internal volume, and a requirement that the hull be completely sealed with no holes.

Ideally this would be done via a seperate ship editor tool, where you'd design and save a verified ship layout for later, and then (when you have all the necessary parts) craft it from the saved recipe in one step

 

Maybe require the ship to visit a special shipbuilding bay and not be usable until refitting is complete?

 

this is what we need urban biome for =) shipyards!
