   This may be a stupid question, but, if I have things stored on my ship, and get a ship replacement mod, will it destroy things stored on the ship? And what will happen to crew and/or ship upgrades I've gotten (including ones to my fuel capacity/efficiency)?

   Ship replacement mods essentially replace the ship.
   Empty the ship completely before installing it.
