Hi there! I've been playing Starbound since just before 1.0 got released, and I love this game. It has developed so much over the last year. Since 1.3 has just been released, and you've shown us what you can do with the design of the new traveling ships you can fly mechs to. I would love to be able to design my own ship in similar fashion to the other ships. You could have some sort of station built into S.A.I.L which allows you to add new parts, such as a new FTL Drive, new Thrusters, and maybe even make those guns usable in some fashion. The current system with the crewmates just seems too limited, and slightly tedious at times. You end up running from planet to planet looking for a quest hoping for them to join you and they don't. Just some ideas, I will probably post some more later.
You mean mismatch parts to make a whole new ship? As for crewmates, they don't provide that many buffs and if you REALLY need more firepower, but hire a penguin from the beakeasy.
