    when I press e it makes a sound like what happens before finishing the erchius mission
    edit I am using a hyloti ship with a novakid character

    Maybe it's exactly because you are using a ship, that does not belong to your race?
    Kinda like you can't use the captain chair on your friend's ship if you play online.
