I would say, maybe leave them till later on in the game, for players with better gear.

Nah, if you want to get the chest, go through a trial.

This idea is very nice, and it will be rewarding, at the end there will be a device to turn off shield so you can get block which u wanted to take.

    Simple and brilliant.

and i would want to see Shield Generators protect your home from meteor strikes and making it resist to bombing and fire... that might change things by lots of ways

That would be the most useful thing about them if they were implemented ;D
Maybe also make them "ownable" / usable only by the one who placed them, after acquiring them from a dungeon, as a means of griefing protection.
Otherwise griefers just disable the thing and grief away.

From a code perspective, now that they've made the tech for protecting blocks, it'd be a REALLY simple matter to make it possible to "own" the shield generator, and protect blocks only from things that are not you, thus protecting an area from griefing. All that has to be done is that a new variable has to be declared, saved, and loaded on the shield generator item itself that stores the unique flag or data for the player who placed it (rather easy), to make the generator recognize you as it's owner when it's placed (I'm assuming there's some sort of OnBuild method for the player, this'd be the perfect place to check to see if they are placing a shield generator and setting them to the object's "owner" variable). Lastly, modify the check that prevents players destroying blocks to instead prevent anything except the generator's owner from destroying blocks.

Getting a bit more intricate here, it could be taken a step further. Several sizes of generator could be either found (or crafted) for protecting bigger areas. There could be a way for owners to "whitelist" other players as well. That's all quite a bit more involved but theoretically possible.

Good idea, glad they added it. Hopefully this means that dungeons will have more loot in and won't just be somewhere to collect decorative items.

Well... One problem came to my mind.

Let's say I want this one block that appears on the beginning of some dungeon, and I've seen this dungeon like 14 times before.

I've been exploring for many hours and would like to build a base now.

BUT... I want to use those blocks at that dungeons gate, yet I already know everything about this dungeon I'm supposed to go in (Again).

    What I'm trying to say:

The Shield Generators should only appear on unique dungeons if we're going to have them.

OR the existing dungeons should be more varied. However, I think they're fine now and Armagon is doing fine work with new dungeons, no need to tweak the existing ones.
