Sharing Starbound

This forum is great, as are the people who use it, but perhaps that is not enough. We can play a great part in advertizing this game and this forum through the share buttons here! Please, if you have a facebook or Twitter account, just share this page and help make this game more popular! Perhaps it will inspire the developers that their game is being publicized not only by them, but by all of their fans! I for one have already done so. Will you?

 

Instead of sharing it through twitter or facebook,
I actually shove it into my schoolmate's faces.
It is 28% more effective.

 

I do share with my friends Starbound but not many of them play video games! But I hope the Starbound team will do advertising on their part. Look at TF2, it's everywhere because it's a fantastic game and also because of the stunt they pulled to make the game free. That's ground breaking stuff! I hope Starbound will follow suit.

 

I have told anyone who has a computer that I know about this game. Many of my friends are excited about this game as am I

Im waiting for the finished game before i go to crazy with the sharing. most the people i know have short attention spans and would forget about this game if i told them about it now lol.

 

I have done this as well, it showed positive results after they punched me back in the face. I need to re-think my strategies.

This is my thinking too. Especially since most of my friends don't "follow" indie game development. Since it is so slow, I know they would quickly lose interest since there is nothing really out there right now.

Sharing? Yes.
Facebook/Twitter/other things? No.
This game will probably be better than Terraria and stuff, but I don't want spam. Like the FB contests. But if you swear that there will be no spam, then I'll allow.
(and no, I don't feel like a sir.... for now )

ehh im not fond about that

however tinkering in photoshop and making and a little "mini bar/ thingy" about 30/100 pixels(or whatever the size is for those mini sig bar things advertising what a person likes such as a gaming console or specific video game series etc.)

one of these(or multiple versions for variety) could be made and people could wear them as sigs in other forums they visit so whenever the image is clicked it'll link them to this site and get a few new members over here that way if they like what they see

 

Could do it by word of mouth. Something like minecraft did, slow sharing between people.

 

Lol, "word of mouth".
It's a bad idea, because someone can change part of the information and deliver it to another group of people. Then it can start a "war" between people saying that this feature contains X and people that are denying this feature at all.
Or something like this.
