Shall I play starbound????

Hi everyone I'm very new at this, so the question is shall I play starbound??? Will I enjoy it??

 

I know nothing of your tastes, so I couldn't say. Elaboration is the root of good storytelling.

That aside, welcome to the community. Whether you start now or later, I wish you a pleasurable time of it all.

 

If you are still on the fence about participating in the beta testing of this game (not sure what that means? try wikipedia to get a sense of what a beta test of a video game is) you could probably watch some videos on youtube as well. I am sure there are a bunch, some are probably fairly good, some probably not so much. You can take a chance like most of the rest of us who donated to the kickstarter to fund the game or those of us who just pre-ordered a while ago. It's a gamble we are taking, but you have a lot more information at your disposal to finalize your decision nowadays than, say...

going out to start your car up in the frigid sub-zero temperatures. brushing off snow/scraping window. waiting for it to warm up. driving amongst other people with similar gas-consuming, mobile weapons to some sort of movie/game rental place. paying 1/3 of the price of this games' current cost to just take a guess at how good a game will be with little to no prior knowledge. getting a movie with similar prior knowledge in case said game doesn't pan out. getting back in car and going home to see if the next day (few days) will be enjoyable. crossing your fingers.

watch a couple of this dudes videos. yesyes...they are playing stoned but its quite entertaining.

edit: apparently this guy either deleted all his videos or got banned because they are nowhere to be found.
