    On steam, goto your game library. See the small text button "ALL GAMES" just above your game list. click that and select "TOOLS" That's where servers are located to games you own.

    It's pretty much the standard way to access game servers via the Steam gui.

    The standard way is much like you wget http:// the server software of the official website ;)

    Yet you can do it manually, pack assets/ and linux64/ and also delete client files you do not need linux64/starbound and linux64/launch_starbound.sh to save 300MB

    Well, no. That isn't the standard way to access server software that is provided through Steam.

    I'd prefer that I could just wget in some ways but at the moment Steam is the way we have to do things and so I get to deal with the annoyance of SteamCMD on my headless linux box. Fun times.
