Server Help [Server] Load existing world file?

    Hi,

i'm playing with a friend with a local self hosted server.
Today I tried to play single player and a new world was generated.

If I tried to host with the starbound_server.exe, a new world is always generated.
How to use the existing world (file)?
We want our houses and items back ;-)

I found the way to enter coordinates to the config-file ("defaultWorldCoordinate") and the property "useDefaultWorldCoordinate",
but it is just generating a new world with this coordinates. How to prevent that?

    Thanks for any answers.

    push,

is this the right forum section to ask such a question?

I would check with the modders and the servers boards as well; couldn't hurt.

What is the filename for the world file that has your house?
What did you enter for "defaultWorldCoordinate" and "usedefaultWorldCoordinate"?

When you say a new world is always generated, do you mean a completely different planet, or is it resetting the same planet over and over?

I have not played around with this config setting much on a server, but in single player it has worked to keep all my characters on the same starting world.

I dont have access to the filename now,
but it was something like alpha_Coord1_Coord2_Coord3_Number.world
I transformed this string into the existing format,
which is used in the config for defaultWorldCoordinate.
: instead of _ and no extension

    But it doesnt work.

It's always generating the same world (planet) + new file,
but my changes are gone, its an untouched world.

If it is the same world, but the file was overwritten, I'm not sure anything can be done. :(
I can hope I am wrong, though, and that someone else has an idea.

The file is not overwritten, its a new file.

Was the old world created before the patch or after?

If it is a new file, but the same world, would it not have the same filename?

The world was created at 26.01.,
there was a patch this week, maybe thats the reason -.-

The old world was renamed to:
    alpha_56014116_-56160240_-10201664_1.world.1391138775975.fail

    and the new one:
    alpha_56014116_-56160240_-10201664_1.world

Ah, now I see something in the log:

Error: UniverseServer: Could not load world db for world alpha:56014116:-56160240:-10201664:1,
removing! Cause: DBException: Error, incorrect index block signature.

    damn -.-

You cannot import old worlds from pre-patch :<

But I played it after the patch,
Starting a world in singleplayer kills it somehow.

Do you know the reason for that?

    Hi,
I have the the same problem as shindai.
I want to copy a planet from my server to my local folder, so I can play on this planet in singleplayer. Both, the server and the singleplayer-world were created AFTER the patch!
Everytime I copy the planet-file to the singleplayer-folder and load the game, the planet is created new and the file I copied is named *filmename*.*somenumbers*.fail, like shinai described it.
Is there somebody out there, who knows how to solve that? :)
I would love to continue building my town offline, after the server is expired.
Thank you and sorry for my english, I am no native speaker.
