server closed - Multiplay is unreliable

I have permanently shut down the server because of unreliable service from the host. I do not think it is fair to have your progress wiped every few hours. It is an unnecessary inconvenience. I am sorry to those who were part of our community.

*Word to the wise - DO NOT USE MULTIPLAY TO HOST YOUR SERVER!

Just a note:

Upon contacting InstaPwn about joining this server, I was greeted at first with friendly enough language and asked various questions on my age, location, et cetera. However, upon honestly answering said questions, in spite of the stated "we will not judge you based off of age" and, in the PM, "these questions will not affect your getting into the server," I was responded to at first with a complete lack of response. I at first assumed that InstaPwn was busy, but when he posted here earlier today saying he was looking for even more players, I began to suspect something was up. I messaged him one more time via the forums, and this time was quickly replied to with a condescending statement that he "didn't want to corrupt my innocent mind" by allowing me onto the server.

As such, I have decided to post here in the thread as a warning to anyone considering joining this server that the owner is a rather immature person himself, as he could not simply give me a yes or a no (Which I would've been perfectly fine with), but rather felt the need to first completely ignore me and then to direct an insulting statement my way when I inquired on whether I'd been let into the server or not. As to InstaPwn himself, I would like you to know that, while your demeanor was certainly not professional in the way you handled the situation, as it encourages people to lie in their answers so as to get onto the server, potentially causing even more issue by allowing on people immature enough to lie about such a thing, I of course hold no hard feeling towards you as a person.

EDIT: As a note, I do apologize for any rudeness above, but I felt the need to inform the folks trying to get onto this server of the ordeal I was forced through upon simply trying to get into the server. Anything otherwise was not my intention going in.

 

DeltaV I am sorry I have seemed to offend you somehow, that was not my intent. I am simply trying to keep the community we have in a rather similar demographic in order to promote relations on the server. My comment about not wanting to corrupt your mind with our banter was simply a friendly way of declining you. I had not realized you would be offended by it. I thought you deserved more than a simple yes or no explanation.

While your age is not important when being accepted to the server. It is my server at the end of the day and I have a right to turn down whom i choose. The fact that you have reacted so heatedly to a simple denial, just enforces my belief that I have made the right decision. There are plenty of servers for you to join and play on, I wish you all the luck in the galaxy!
