Alternatively, shorten glunaughts one block. Problem solved, complaints gone.

the enemy metapod use harden, pikachu used thundershock, metapod "fainted"

No, I just make them "faint".... ok yea I kill them, but they're bandits, they're bad peoples. It's programmed into the robot AI's brain, they can't help it D:. I can't hurt something that in actuality doesn't want to hurt me. As far as words go that is.

I'd pull a Doctor Wiley and just place silly spike traps everywhere... Problem seemingly solved...

-Oh no! it's Rockman! Foiled again by that meddling little blue wall jumping robot...

the morphological problem with glunaught goes further than just height.
your "solution" is akin to comparing the difference between a man and a short kid.
what im talking about is comparing a human to a chimpazee. body dimension such as leg size, arm's lenght and such arent the same.
in picture's of glunaught, you can see the non-conventional head shape, long neck and disproportionnate arm/leg lenght compared to the body (relatively to normal human body proportions)

    hence the problem

I picked underwater mainly because of fan suggestions....I mean there is like one "Full" robot race, and I am pretty sure that is long gone....

However, after the armor redesign, would it be worth it?

I'm voting for an underwater race. Simply because it would make the game a whole lot more interesting in multiple ways.

Tiy mentioned that races would not be stat based, but that does not mean IMO, that perhaps underwater breathing is an impossibility (who really considers underwater breathing a stat?)
If an aquatic race is implemented with the ability to breathe underwater, perhaps they might need an equipable item to breathe outside water environments, or they would effectively drown. This opens up a whole new gameplay dynamic, making things way more interesting.

Also consider the fact that there are already multiple species who can live comfortably on land, without major complications. A robot, or even an aquatic robot, would not have to breathe, which wouldn't effect the gameplay much in or out of water.

Also I would like to give my take on both - I see robots as tools, they are built for a purpose by their creators, the same way a hammer is built for a simple purpose of hammering a nail or hitting yourself really hard on the hand while hammering a nail.
If a machine was built to have a mind of it's own, it would logically try to make the most efficient designs in what it does, but it would not have a goal unless it was predefined by it's creator (and let's be serious here - who programs a robot to "establish a new world when the current one is destroyed"?)

I think that an aquatic race would be great fun to those (myself included, who would love to live underwater in Starbound.)

I mean, who has really looked at the wallpaper http://playstarbound.com/wallpaper-of-the-week-5/ and not wanted to live underwater?

If an underwater race is decided on, I would really like it to be squid like, because it opens up the idea of using perhaps tentacles instead of arms, (and yes, I know that cephalopod limbs like those of an octopus are called "arms" generally, but you guys know what I'm talking about.) I think it would be a visually appealing race, instead of a reskinned human etc.

In any case, I am confident that the dev team will do a great job no matter what is chosen.

that'd be missing the point of prioritizing what is worth spending time on without delaying release too much. redesigning the whole armor thing to accomodate a single race is too much.
i forgot who (tiy maybe) said that anything that didint fit the human template already set was a no-no right now for the reason i mentionned.

maybe later, wether by devs or modding, but for now, as far as the unreleased game goes, glunaught and such are a no-no

and as for underwater race, many people seem to have wild ideas but mark my word, theyre probably gonna be something like kisame hoshigaki from naruto

I'd say it would depend for myself...
Water race: Would they suffocate above water? Without proper gear
Robot race: Would they short circuit or take damage overtime while under water?

If these kind of things were added to them, well it'd be impossible to vote for myself.
But my vote goes to Underwater for the heck of it right now, both would look super cool I'm sure.

I chose robots but I'm not overly phased. Until these other 2 races are confirmed I'm going apex or human.
So as long as the majority is pleased, I'm all good. :ninja: :halo:

Oh well, I never knew that. Im perfectly okay with whatever race they decide to come out with anyway, except if they DO base it off of anything Naruto. Id prefer maybe something like an abyssmal undersea Zora. When I say that, Im not saying it should be pale and sickly looking in the freezing depths of the sea, Im talking about the lights, like what youd see on that Anglerfish from Finding Nemo. Damn, that was impressive. Wouldnt it be so cool to see something like that on a fish man?

Underwater. I support only organic races - let everyone get their own robotic limbs and implants, but don't make it into a separate race.

Ah, I don't care, I'm gonna play human anyway... But I'd still prefer feline race - wanna catgirl in my crew.

i picked underwater because the aquatic skin of the item would be better than the robot skin for the lore just see this screen

Apex do the same look of a robot labotory exept of the monkey pictures :V

And this race is perfect for the ambiance of a underwater base
