Serious Poll: Robot or Underwater?

I'm not asking for Zora specifically, I'm just merely stating that an underwater race would be a tad bit different. I like the idea of building robots, not playing them.

EDIT:

Now if there was the option of modifying yourself with implants and whatnot to become a cyborg... Well, that would be interesting.

 

I think people ho say both, should go with Aquatic race, because there are already mechs.

 

There is already water too.

 

i like the idea of an aquatic race, that maybe could breathe under water, but not above water, or at least not for long

If they do put in a aquadic race they would be severly limited like what they did to avains with no being able to fly so i wouldn't be too sure since Tiy said that they were purely for asthtics

Underwater robots. No, seriously. Take whatever your idea is for an aquatic/amphibious race and make it a robot/cyborg. Doesn't have to be electric (read: electricity and water don't play nice) just mechanical.

I'm sure you already know this, but you can't play as water, like you can play in mechs.

Would you have to crank yourself up to move? Without electricity, or gas, or something, a mechanical machine needs some type of energy to propel it.

 

They could be powered by a hydrogen reactor which transfers heat into a water chamber turning a power-wheel with the rising warm water while it sucks cold water in through the bottom.
In short, a 'reverse' hydroelectricity system using a hydrogen fusion reactor to create the heat to induce a cycle, generating mechanical power.
Hydrogen can be split from water, the turbine generates power, and the water acts like built-in cooling.
And since it's the far-future we can just assume we've managed to get fusion reactors to a small-yet-usable state.

A closed loop system could do the same thing.

(Fun fact: all fuel-burning energy sources are technically steam engines in modern day)

Good idea, I've actually done H2O2 hydrogen cells before, and I didnt think of that idea. I think it was because the post I was replying to said something about water and electricity not mixing, when if done safely, mixing water and electricity can produce energy.

However, still going for Aquatics! I feel like the game will already have a lot of robotic elemnts (machines, npcs, mechs)

 

I personally dont think a water race would look good aesthetically. if they're aquatic/underwater then there maybe be a chance that the dungeon for them will be forcing you into the water almost all the time. I know that's very specualtory, but its what i believe since each race's dungeons will most likely match the race they correspond to. I would like an ultra futuristic race because the possibilities ever more endless with them. Mechs, for me, are not fun. A robotic character is another story.

 

I'd dig a reptilian race all the way. Think Argonians from The Elder Scrolls, but not really.

That is true, but its beach/underwater Themed hotel. If it truly was an underwater hotel then you would probably be underwater. the rooms might have air, but getting to it means going to the water. Much like Rapture.

Think of it this way: We have Robocop, Terminator, and Halloween Soldier. The underwater team has Aquaman. Aquaman.

 

Yes and it would be a dungeon based upon the cosmetics of the race not their abilities.
