Serious Poll: Robot or Underwater?

But a robot could be programed to have free will, rather than to just be a tool.

 

Definite robot, not sure why, it just seems like what my mind feels like at the moment, but also there won't be much use of a robot, but then a bunch of water I'm sure.

 

In a game like Starbound, everything seems so high-tech. But Starbound also has many things that you wouldn't expect. So why not be more unique and go for an aquatic race.

 

I voted for robots, but I'm fine with either one. Maybe both combined.

 

Aquatic, obviously.
Why would anyone want to be a robot.
It's so lonely, and there's no kissing at the end.

 

I want underwater race, but not Glaunaughts. I want something like fish-mens.

 

Personally I'd think a fish race would be the best option since we already have birds, apes and plants.
But maybe something Zora like, I've always liked the arm fins and head tail.

 

Underwater race because I'd like to see underwater cities and dungeons.

I voted robot, but now that I've thought about it more, I think I'd really enjoy an aquatic race styled on 19th century science fiction. Portholes, lots of rivets, and things painted caution yellow. Hopefully we can get some of that in this game!

Aquatic elves. Make it happen. Our only chance for an elf-esque race. (Unless, of course you go with Cyber Elves, then you may as well be playing Megaman...)

 

You should notice that an octopus is as least as intelligent as we are. I think, an aquatic race would come from an octopus-like ancestor

 

Octopuses are smart, yes, but not as smart as we are.
There are smarter creatures, such as dolphins and killer whales.

Oh, and we shouldn't even go into how smart robots are.

I'm gonna have to say aquatic species, because "road least traveled" and whatnot, but there are two races left unannounced. So why not both?

 

It's probably one of those situations where they'll work on this race first, and if the robot race is still being suggested like crazy, we'll probably get to decide between that, and whatever other race is a possibility at the time.

Personally, I would love to see both races playable, but if I had to only pick one, I would choose the aquatic race. Mainly just because they're a little more unique than robots, but I would still love to see robots be playable. It's a tough decision, but I know they'll do amazing with whatever they decide in the end.

 

I'm pretty sure that's a human with armor and a helmet.
