Want to find an planet to your likings? Want to inmortalize your name showing everyone you was the first person to go to X Planet?
Well, now your chance to do it! Simply fill the below questions about the planet and it will be added to the list.

Planet Name: (Stuff like ALPHA 12)
Coordinates: (Where you have to go to find the planet?)
    Biome: (Snowy, Desertic, Crystal?)
*Extra Info: (Large gold veins, avian villages, etc)
*Person to find it: (Most often, the name of the poster, can use forum or Starbound name)
*Screenshots: (Please use spoiler on those and post no more than three, can also use a short video or gifs)

    *: Optional.

Planet Name: ALPHA MERQUIA 12 I
    Coordinates: X-8,Y-11
    Biome: Desert
    Threat Level: 4

Extra Info: Sand dunes as far as the eye can see. Very little vegetation, although boltbulbs can be found dotting the landscape. To the immediate west of the beam-in site is a small, underground well containing a trivial amount of water. To the east are a few palm trees. A fair distance beyond the palm trees is what can best be described as some sort of tar-pit-oasis. Boneboo sprouts from the tar, and a few very tall cacti can be found nearby. The cacti grow on a small patch of wet dirt which can be harvested and used to cultivate plant life such as the boltbulbs and boneboo found naturally growing on the planet's surface.

Many dangerous creatures roam the dunes of Alpha Merquia 12 I. Strange lizards that spew frozen breath, winged creatures that seem like hook-billed ducks, and something resembling a miniature stegosaurus are just a few that visitors will encounter. Due to being so close to Alpha Merquia 12, this desert planet has abundant heat during the day. However, nights are still chilly enough that visitors will need to find a way to keep warm or else they will freeze.

Additional information will be posted as exploration continues.

isnt it a bit pointless during the beta? I'm pretty sure they said that during this phase of the beta new content will be added at a very fast and rapid rate.

This new content, say like a new dungeon, once seeded into the game can then be generated on any planets

Presumably this means that during the Beta any and all planets can change as new content is added.

Precisely. Though this is an excellent idea Sarzael, it is far to premature to be useful.

I already had this planned. The idea is that once full release comes out, the old planets will go to a *Old Planets* Section and the list will be clear of those which have been changed.

This probably is a bad idea to do on a thread for two reasons.
One? There is a new soft 500 post limit before you should make a new one. The number of planets is.. well near infinite.
Two. Well bluntly it seems something better suited to a wiki to keep track of. More room, easier editing.

Which is why Starbounder.org was setup originally if I remember right. It was going to catalog them. Tho not firsts to my knowledge, I'll grant you.

One: I can have more than one planet per post.
    Two: Opinions!

A planet list during beta, even if it changes, will still be useful to some extent. Even a list of a dozen or so unique layouts will be handy for checking out different things quickly.
