i am wondering will there be any? i am sure i would like to take alot of them each time i find cool place, monster etc and that key would make it easier , instead of print screen and paste, unless some programs would work ? some programs for ss capture give blank screen dunno why
I haven't heard anything yet, and it's probably too early to tell yet. It's entirely possible that they'd have a screenshot key, but worst case scenario printscreen would suffice. However, I would assume that the Steam version of the game would have it. Most Steam games let you take a screenshot with a certain key (I think F12 is the standard one), and I don't see why Starbound wouldn't have that feature.
And in case beta doesn't make it to Steam, you can still play it as a non-Steam game and enjoy the screenshot feature.
It would be nice to have a screenshot key in the non-steam version. More players would upload their screenshots of freaky monsters, cool bases, or giant spaceships to post here knowing they didn't have to use Prnt Scrn and paste it into a paint program.
Jeah, because the game will be on Steam you can take Screenshots with F12 Key. So yes it has Screenshots in an external way
Even with Steam screenshots, I would like a feature in the game that would save photos to a folder of your choice at the press of a button in beautiful .png format, rather than the ugly .jpg Steam always uses.
i got 1 free game on steam and yes the f12 key is very handy and i dont mind it being a jpg classic style ss ;]
