I would appreciate a graphic artist.
The main areas I am looking for new art is the back of the question interface and the space station.
PM me or reply to the thread if you're interested. I'll shoot you a complementary beta copy to assist you.

Seems like you've got it all in hand. Cheers.

Books allow someone to travel through space and time in their own bedroom, math allows someone to travel through time and space in a computer. :O are you a mathmagician? Ha. puns.

    +1 Myst reference.

    Yup. This is the first-off-the-line production-pre-pre-alpha development-prototype super-indev edition.
A little bit of a hyperbole but you get the point.
    Is that a Myst reference?

I'm redoing the space station system. If anyone wants to do some top down people sprites that would be great.
    Size of 24 x 24, 32 x 32 or 48 x 48 if you're doing it. Any other size is useless to me.

I am going to record and post a sneak preview of the game tomorrow.
Preview #1. It's going to showcase the ship creation and a bit of basic gameplay.

    TODO:
    -Finish ship creation.
-Add more questions in different areas (suggestions accepted and wanted)
    -Add ship battles

I volunteer as a graphic artist. I do very pixel-y, pixel-y, and smooth fat lines. PM me for examples.
Also I have some good ideas for those top-down people-sprites.

Ahh yes, Game Maker. I used to use Games Factory to make crappy little games for my brother to play. He rather enjoyed it despite their lack of quality.
Keep up the good work CoolCat99. Improving your game making and math calculating skills are definitely worth it.

    Thanks.
    PM sent.
Helps get me a good reputation in the staffroom as well. Always good since a few ICT teachers are based in the math staff room.

A preview of the game. Oh, I reformatted the main post as well.

I'm also going to do Starbound Let's Plays on my channel when it comes out.
I'm currently doing mostly Minecraft videos.

I like the concept, it'd be quite interesting to see if this could be applied to the maths and physics of orbits, starting with basic vectors, going to derivatives and integrals of acceleration, calculating orbital speed, force exerted on rocket fuel, arc length, and all sorts of awesomeness. This could be applied to actual, honest-to-god rocket science and not really go that much beyond what I learned in high school physics and calculus.

With a bit of knowledge and understanding it would probably be possible.
I barely know what you mean, I'm only in Grade 8.

If you mean having some proper physics in the game, it's a good idea but I don't have enough time to implement it, nor a proper purpose.
If you mean having rocket science questions, that would be good if it was for a grade 12 class, but it's not.
It's for grade 8's, and I think my math teach is trying to get it as one of the activities for some grade 7 math excellence kids coming in the first few weeks.

A lot of people don't really care about what they make and then go rage at people who tell them the truth.
    Changes in b001:
    - Character Creation is completed.
    - Game now tracks accuracy.
    - The ship has 20 HP. You lose 1 HP every time you get a question wrong.
    - You now collect coins over time. You get 1 coin per correct answer.
    Planned for b002:
    - Battles every 8 or so planets (I need questions ideas for these! Anything will be considered)
    - Introductory story
    - A shop to spend coins every 11 or so planets
    - Shop will allow you to repair 1HP for 1-3 coins, will vary from shop to shop.
    - Shop might also have some special things like different coloured thrusters.
