I'm a completionist through and through. I must get every single thing there is to get in the game. (Makes playing the Beta a pretty tedious process, but I digress.) I can't tell which Schematics I've collected versus what I haven't when I'm shopping at stores. I don't want to buy stuff I already have on accident. So, I have two different solves for this scenario. 1. Once you gain a schematic, you can no longer purchase it from a store. Pros - You can't buy a schematic you already have. Cons - You cannot purchase schematics for others in multiplayer. 2. Owned schematics have an indicator on them. Pros - Easy to cycle through shops and see what you own versus what you don't, and you can buy multiple if you want to. Cons - None that I can think of. Short, simple, to the point. What do you guys think?
I think each player should only be able to buy each schematic once or have a colored indicator for already owned
For some reason...I like to buy the schematic. Activate it. And then have another one in a chest. =[ I really like having "collected" it. I don't know why. But I agree... I'd like to be able to know in the shop that I do have it somehow. Since there are so many.
I thought of something. What if there was a Schematics screen or menu type of thing. An icon located on the right with the inventory and all that stuff. Any owned schematics would be there. You can only own 1 of each so purchasing duplicates is impossible AND that way I wouldn't have to store an extra copy to... have =[ hahahaha. What do you think? and then in the shop owned schematics would have that little green checkmark on them. I say that as if it were mentioned previously...
