Sorry, everyone. It's currently the late evening of April 5th, whereas I'd intended this April Fools to be revealed on the 2nd or 3rd.
Clearly it hasn't happened as intended, I wanted to have a surprise release out by now.

There is an experimental SBSE build waiting for release, which seems to mostly work in my testing.
The main hurdle at the moment is some unexpected trouble packaging it for cross-platform.

I hope to have 0.11.0 released by this weekend, so just a bit longer.

Yeah, I'm really losing hope in Kazyyk updating SBSE.

 

It took much longer than anticipated, but an experimental build has finally been released.
Marked as version 0.11.0e, the changelog is slim as the main purpose of the build is to restore compatibility with the latest Starbound version. Most features should be working again.

Currently, this release is only for the Windows version. OS X and Linux will be following sometime after.

I've noticed that the application can easily crash if interacted with while it's processing information.
Please take care, as undoubtedly it'll take me some time to figure out why it does that.

Please make me aware of any further issues with the program.

Okay I know this is going to look fake coming from me and all because of how everyone knows I don't trust you

But I'm literally actually getting malware warnings trying to install your new release.




I know it's probably a false positive but I'm telling you so you can try and remove whatevers throwing it.

I'm getting a problem where when SBSE starts reading player files, I get an error message saying "Warning: Encountered SBSE RangeError. Operation may not have completed." And it doesn't load at all. I haven't even interacted with it while it was loading, so I don't know how or why it's doing it, this started happening to me yesterday.

 

Do you have a lot of mods installed?
It appears that for some, SBSE won't load if there are a lot of mods. (Exact number that causes the issue unknown)

 

Nevermind, I fixed it by removing backup files of saves I deleted.
I removed the mods before and it still didn't work.
EDIT: Tried it with mods and it still works, thanks for the help anyway.

 

Whenever I try to update it, when the loading bar reaches the end, SBSE closes out, and the installation of the entire SBSE itself tries to restart.

 

You may need to download the latest version directly from the website.
