i suppose it depends greatly on which version you're using xD if it's the desktop version, there's an update. i don't use the web version so i duno =x

I downloaded that mod and identified an edge-case bug that has been fixed. Thanks for letting me know, it should work in the next version. I think I'm probably going to release a bugfix version pretty soon that doesn't add any features, since some of these bugs seem important to fix ASAP.

I went ahead and released 0.7.3 which is mainly bug fixes. This update improves mod support and should now properly read items added by mods.

an update button wouldn't hurt for the desktop version xD we'd click it and it auto-downloads only the files that are needed. ^^ that'd be cool lol

edit: how well does this work with
    nightly items?

Ooo, I'll look in to that. This is kind of my first attempt at writing and distributing a desktop app with an installer so I'm still learning how to do it properly.

I've tested on nightly a bit and it's worked fine so far for me. There's quite a few items I haven't tried with though. Are you having problems?

  7. eksynn

    eksynn Giant Laser Beams

nope. no problems lol just wondering, is all xD i haven't really found any wearable nightly-only items to test this with.. save for that useless backpack thing. xD

doing really well so far ^^

Looks like 0.8 will be the next release! I just finished the advanced editor functions WITH the ability to easily choose the source color right in SBSE (without the need to open an image editor to find the source color hex).

Check out this quick demo of how it works:
    http://sbse.hyunsdojo.com/advdemo.webm

Note that in that video for some reason the color picker cursor is huge and not aligned correctly, the cursor is positioned fine when you use it.

For some reason, it doesn't work. Probably the installation was messed up from an older version. It just says "SBSE cannot continue".

Just downloaded the latest release of the Desktop version, and something strange happened upon loading, editing, and saving a character.
For some reason, one I loaded the character into Starbound, they were completely invisible. I did not alter the transparency codes in any way, yet this happened.

(Top was unedited, put on afterwards to give context)
Just was wondering if this was a known bug, or what.

You're the first to report it! I'll look in to it now. What OS are you using? Also, could you tell me if SBSE still shows the character normally?

EDIT: Could you also send me the player file?

  13. Ehksidian

    Ehksidian Spaceman Spiff

Sure, give me a second to do so. I am currently running Windows 8.1 as well.
The player does, in fact, show up 100% visible upon loading SBSE, but loading in Starbound they do not.
And a link to the player file over dropbox

Thanks, I must have broken the color saving by mistake. I've repaired it in the new release. You should be able to just re-save your invisible characters and it should correct itself.

It opens now, but some characters are unable to edit.

  16. Ehksidian

Yep, now the invisibility works, but...
I can second this. A 100% vanilla character of mine is unable to be edited for some odd reason. It's a single character for me, and not that much of an issue (thankfully), but it is still a bug.

  17. Phaze

    Phaze Pangalactic Porcupine

Would either of you guys mind sending me the player files of ones that cannot be edited? I'm not having any characters show up like that but I can figure out what's going on and fix it. Nature of beta I'm afraid.

  18. Ehksidian

    Ehksidian Spaceman Spiff

    Sure.
Here's another dropbox link to the incompatiable character

Some of mine were modded, some where entirely vanilla.
Some were default characters. Some where modded. Here are some mods:

Multispecies space doesn't seem to work.

Felins look like a bunch of scattered pixels in SBSE.

Sometimes avali crash when I try to edit them.
