Save file deleted

    So me and my buddy had a co-op world on Xbox one. And we were almost done with year one. We have been playing for almost 2 weeks now and when we went to bed to save after going to the skull cavern our we were kicked to the main screen. When I tried opening up the world again it was gone. As if it never existed.
    Is there any possible way we can get our game back? We were having a great time and I would hate it if we had to start all over again. It would ruin this great game for me personally. And i dont know if I would want to play again for a long while if we have to start all over again.
    My gt is CaptainKrole.
