    My location: Asteroid Belt (Biome)
    Soil used: Brown Dirt

No matter what, my sapling does one of two things; disappears when I move too far away, or never grows. There's no error popping up, and the Starbound Log shows nothing out of the ordinary, but my trees never grow when I plant them. Is there something wrong on my end? I had an open background and a wall made of various materials, and I've tried hanging out on my ship for around an hour. I've tried roaming around outside of my base, and I stood right on the soil til I nearly die of hunger, but no luck.

You've been putting your saplings too close to foreground blocks on higher levels than the saplings. Keep them at least six blocks away.

Oh I definitely have more than six blocks of vertical space lol.

    six blocks you say.jpg

Unless the lights count as foreground.

    Horizontal space.

Also, trees grow pretty damn tall; you can't fit a tree in that room at all.

How high must the room be? I just adjusted it a bit, and I need to terraform one of those empty space stations to go any higher.

Here's the trees that grow on my spaceship. It's at 1x zoom.

I don't know how many blocks this is. It's probably a lot.

Looks like I'm gonna terraform another asteroid then. I want my space shrooms.

    Thanks for the help.
