I present you the Sand Worm, a worm that come out of the sand in the desert-like environements Also, worst pixel art work ever, I'm so bad at this, but you get the idea, right ? It would bite you if you come too close and throw small monsters from his mouth, kinda like headcrabs in Half life 2
What's supposed to be so bad about this pixel art? You have a clear texture, good shading on the riffles that divide the segments and a good choice of colour. Could be worse. ^^
