I'm running the latest update too and I still freeze both at pixel-pickup and melee swings. My PC is very strong and I've tried even in 64x mode - same thing.

 

I've done it twice, stripped pack of mods and cut down in size, should i do it third time, seems like thats the only solution at this point for freezes... dayum

 

I just recently came back and you still do that modpack! You amazin.

 

Any idea why the author of clef removed his mod and locked his thread?

There has been tons of ppl complaining about various issues with clef starting incompatibility with multiplayer to being highly critical on various part of the mod. (i'm guilty of it as well). I guess everyone has their limits to how much they can take tolerate.

Update guys, i was wrong! IDK what happened, the first planet was so smooth, now after my system reboot its doing the same freeze over and over again T.T

 

Yes that exactly the thing, depends entirely on the planet ur on.... i guess it has something do with Frackin Universe then. Well if thats the case then all we need to do is wait for updates. Frackin Universe is constantly evolving...

 

Working hard, rebuilding pack from ground up to make sure all the important mods stay while freezing issue gets resolved.

 

Alright, i took out like 60% of the mods for the first release. I'll keep adding mods back over time while keeping close eye on the performance. It seems latest updates have really pushed Starbound engine close to its limits and adding tons of mods slows down the game a lot.

 

hmm , Been reading that you guys have had lag problems on pixel pickup,and lag in general. I haven't had anything of the sort, strange :I everything on my end been running nice and smooth

 

Even if performance is fine its a good idea to restart the cycle. You see over time modpacks get bloated too far. Too many mods you don't need and locked in, in a way that only complete rebuild would help. So this was coming anyway.

 

Ah I see what ya mean. But yeah a rebuild is always necessary after awhile. I was thinking (Dont know if it is possible but ill throw it out there) but with all the mods that add custom hair/ other character customization mods, would there be a way to combine them all into one .modpak file just to reduce the amount of files? just a thought .

Yeah its possible if you get the rights to modify files and mods don't conflict.
