"I am, by no means wish to trivialize that horrid war, I was merely using it as a relatable point of reference to explain the vast scale of the Eon War. However, I do understand how the Great War might be a rather touchy subject for some of you folks. I probably should have used a better explaination for it though. It seems that I have once again digressed from the topic at hand, Let us get back to explaining the reason for your presence in this museum. You see, I sought far and wide for everyone of you folks, merely because each and everyone of you posses a unique skill set that is perfectly suited for the task I had create. In case you were curious on what I am talking about, I sought you folks out so you can locate, and retrieve an extremely special artifact known as the Irredelian Catalyst. It's nothing too extraordinary in terms of description...bronze colored alloy, ancient Egreneoth writing along the side. Humming with power....that sort of thing." "Of course I know that the Irredelian Catalyst is real! Why else would I spend all of this time and effort in trying to retrieve the damn thing?"
Motioning to the more offensively equipped persons in the room, including himself, "What resistance is to be expected?"
"So we're all a band of merry treasure hunters, put together to locate a bronze thing with old writing on it? Sounds like a bit of fun to me. Why do you need so many people?"

All I can do is cook, clean, and make little toys and contraptions, what does he want me for?
"Surely this task is not easy endeavor. Especially if it were to be undertaken by only a couple people. The large amount of people whom are to partake within this expedition is to ensure the artifact's successfully retrieval." "The actual object itself isn't really up for much concern, as it it merely just a power source. The reason I have to be so secretive, however, is purely due to the fact that some folks might utilize this power source for extremely...nefarious deeds."
"Is there a possibility that 'some folks' might already be searching for this object? Besides yourself, of course."
"That is why I was hired. The strong will keep the artifact away from the weak vying for power." Aukur looks around the room at the others that appear obviously equipped for combat, including Fondev. He could only speak for himself.
Fieke shifts uncomfortably in her seat, one of her tools bumping against the wooden holster on her belt. "My, what a loaded statement."
Seeing how he would rather not have a fight to break out in his office, the scholar interrupted Fieke with an answer to her previous statement. "There is always a possibility that someone else could have figured out information about the artifact. We are dealing with a legendary magical object with unlimited power after all."
Fieke adjusts her belt and jacket to better cover the holster. The occasional rattle was slightly distracting. "It's good that we're ready for trouble then. So, do we have concrete plans, logistical concerns, and other details to cover?"
"Hmm..." The scholar scratches his chin for a moment before continuing with what he was saying, "I don't think there is much else to say really about your quest to locate the Irredelian Catalyst...Other than where you can start looking of course."
Staring for a moment in disbelief, Fieke rubs the bridge of her nose. "'Quest'? I thought we where going on an archaeological dig, a 'job'. Now it's a 'quest'? The sudden change of wording is a point of concern, herr professor. At any rate, I hope you have some supplies and perhaps vehicles lined up for us. The latter being of some concern to me, otherwise I will be of limited use on this 'quest'."
"There is Most certainly no need to worry about the sudden change in wording, I just thought it made more sense to call this long search for an ancient artifact of legends a 'Quest' rather than merely a job. Call this how you like, it's pretty much the same thing. As for those supplies and vehicles, I will give out enough supplies to start your journey, and maybe I shall toss in a car or two...but nothing more than that. Despite sending a large group in hopes of securing the artifact, I am not made of money. So you may need to gather up any extra supplies you may need in your 'Quest' for the Catalyst."
"So I'm sure I can expect to be reimbursed for the cost of supplies? And do you have access to a form of transport or shall we use our own means? Because I'm used to travelling on foot but I feel that may not be ideal for this." Altim stops himself, "Sorry I apologise for the flood of questions, it happens when I'm anxious..."
After a spell of thinking, Kamilia sits up straighter, pushes her hands upon the table, and speaks, "See, I don't have a thing to pitch in but myself and my words, but I'd be much obliged to tag along with one of you fine folk, and I'll help however I can." She glances around the room briefly before looking down at her hands, which pick thoughtlessly at a loose string on the tablecloth. "Surely, we can pool resources and get whatever else we need, or just acquire things as we go." She smirks.
He shifts uncomfortably in his seat... Maybe it was the design, maybe it was the talk of an object of such power... "Ehmm... If I am able to ask, why us? Are there not betters than us available for hire? Potentially more qualified and more desperate people?"
Fieke frowns, the more she learns, the more ill conceived this whole affair seemed to be. "I guess if all else fails, I'll just need some time, and directions to the nearest scrapyard. I'm sure I can kludge something with the right parts." "Don't worry, we won't be stuck on foot if I'm involved. I will want a few extra hands if I need to build something, however."
'Yes, transportation would make the endeavour much easier. Are there any specific handling procedures for the artifact we should know?' --------------------------------------------------------- Alfhild speaks up to the group. 'I can get transportation for us, and some supplies, just let me know what we will need and I can get it for you. My, husband, doesn't really care what I do with his money, he has plenty of it anyways.' She smiles slightly.
Visually squirming from Kamilla's words and immediately looking down to avoid eye contact, he slowly turned red in the face until Fieke mentioned needing help, "If it's motor work, I'll be able to lend a hand."
