First off, RTD stands for Random Teleportation Device, . LTD stands for Linked Teleportation Device RTD The RTD is a device, with one simple action. In danger (When you are under 10% health) you will teleport away. Although, you cannot select the destination of arrival. Allowing you to select a specific area would take too much time and energy to do. It will teleport you within 15 blocks. It is a passive type of gear. Although some risks to this device are: Teleporting near a mob of enemies Lava Falling to your death This would be an early game item to avoid overpowering situations. - LTD The LTD can teleport to or away from enemies. Although, this equipment allows you to select the desired location. It cannot go through solid objects, and only at a 15 block radius. The energy use of this contraption is high, but it is better than dying. A flaw in this device is how you have to equip it to your mouse. It will remove one of your other weapons. This would be a mid-game gear. There would be a delay, forty seconds to a minute.

RTD may be possible but the LTD is not a good idea it could stop players from dieing for the whole game also adding these devices would cause many bugs and issues with the game.
Suggested before, teleporting is up there in the great suggestion tree. I do not mind RTD but not LTD.
well what if the LTD required some type of flag? those flags can attract the enemies attention like some type ligth and try to get closer
