Rise of the Hylotl

What is RotH?
Hi guys, RotH is planned to be a rather large mod that focuses on the hylotl race. They're such a strange and alien race, that I think they deserve to have a lot more interesting content. Check the features for what I plan to implement.​

Features
1. New armor, weapons, and throwables
2. New farmable resources that help you craft hylotl armors, weapons, and tools
3. New back lanterns, backpacks, and other vanity items
4. New hylotl mobs that drop rare items
5. New dungeons, including new material blocks, objects, and mobs based on the hylotl race.
6. A Galactic Market Network, an "online" market where you can buy strange and exotic goods you can't find yourself.​

Progress
So far the mod has just begun. The Galactic Market Network is done. Some of the farmables are done. One of the weapons are done as well. The mod is picking up pace. Never modded in my life, so who knows how this will go. ​

 

Current progress: implemented several objects, a new full armor, several weapons, items, farmables, and tiles.

Will be uploading nice eye candy shots soon promise.

I'm hoping to finish a lot of the objects, armors, and items first. I will be doing new dungeons and tiles that will revolve around the lore of the hylotls, but with a different twist.

 

Hi guys,

I'm not very great at updating. I've gotten lots of things done. Here's several preview pics:

The first image you'll see a strange magenta tree thing, as well as different kinds of potted plants. The second image shows a garden of plants, as well as new farmable plants. These are just small parts of the mod. This mod will include all kinds of hylotl objects you can interact with. I definitely do not want to overwhelm the player with all these new objects and items, so I've been fine-tuning and balancing the new objects and new resources. The mod is intended to be played from tier 4 on up, where the player will progressively craft new weapons, armors, farm new plants for healing and resources, and infiltrate new hylotl-themed dungeons. Oh, you might also notice a new armor my character is wearing; it's a wip, I need to make it darker. The sword he wields is finished.

I'll explain these objects at a later point. I'll need time to make a nicer presentation.

Hylotls don't like Florans in the lore, right?
I expect something with "Kill Floran" in the name or something.
Also, it looks really nice?
When do we see "Rise of the Floran"? xD

 

well hylotls are peaceful first and foremost, but yeah they've got a grudge against the florans.

Actually, a rise of the floran would be cool. But first I gotta finish this one!

 

A preview of two of the many planned armors. Both of these are complete Will be working on another tomorrow. I made the left one darker now, and I gave the glowy eyes one a full armor set.

Aside from that, I was able to implement several new resources, placeable deco objects, and new mob loot drops. ​
