Okay, this is a silly but sentimental suggestion. I would like to see a starbound version of this guy: Who is with me? I have two ideas for him, he could be a crewmate type person, or, a machine you can build. GuideTron It is a computer AI made to help you, it tells you useful information about the planet, and gives hints as to what a item is for, or what it might be crafted into, it could be in your PDA or a furniture item I would also settle for the devs to just sprite him in the starbound style, that would kick all the butts
HELL NO. I hated that guy in Terraria. Opening all my doors and getting everyone killed. I just want him gone.
lets not bring him back that is from terreria, we have to make a new person like master cheif's AI ...whats her name spelled correctly Qutana ? sorry if I really spelled it wrong, but right now we aren't going call the person (not by he or she, which depends players who they want as a guider to be male or female) "the guide" just maybe lets call it "Command Center" which you are talking to an AI that is hologram.
true, so just in case that hologram just stay one place and original guide follow me always to deep of hell in terreria. really annoying.
I'd prefer if Starbound was it's own game, and not just full of references. Maybe It might have a line from the guide, but to have the whole guide himself there is a little much for a reference.
I do like the idea of Starbound having some helpful NPCs around. Assuming some other tool does not already exist in-game for this sort of functionality, it could not hurt. Perhaps it could be a fellow person trapped on the same world as your character, that you could then rescue when you yourself manage to get off the planet.
