Would love an item where you can place a beacon and teleport back to it later, similar to the magic mirror in Terraria except you can choose your destination.
I swear I first read "Return Bacon" and I was like, "AWESOME!". Then I noticed the real title and I was like "Meh...". Nah, I'm just kidding ^^ It's not a bad idea, it could make a lot of things easy, but it should be restricted. Like, only one beacon placed at a time, and only works on a planet (you can't plant a beacon on a planet, cross a galaxy and expect to be teleported back to that original planet). Also, should require a couple of rare components to craft, especially supposing that it would be re-usable. Other than that, I approve!
I would lean more toward a portable, deployable beacon, as this would make the game a little more dynamic.
