Was digging through the Avali wiki and I actually found a piece of concept art that would almost fit Surge. The facial scar would have to be slightly more 'substantial' though, like a white phosphorus wound. Of course, he also wears this style of helmet.

The village doesn't know what's going on. For all they know, the guardians are there for business, and you guys are fking crazy. They're tryin to keep the peace.

Confirmed, we are absolutely fking crazy. As far as I know nobody's dead though, Ko was just aiming to burn their feathers a bit and I don't think anyone actually shot the guards.

 

Surge cut down two of em. I know that for sure.

Feathers are fuqin flammable. You can't really control something like that.

 

Actually, Surge did swing at one of the guards, and threw a body at the other. No answer if any of these attacks where actually lethal.

 

If I don't say an attack misses then I count it as lethal

Feathers dont burn like that. They dont set on fire, they blacken, shrivel, and stink, but not burn

 

Avian feathers may be different though, but flamethrowers don't exactly seem gentle at any rate.

 

Kane doesn't believe in pointless slaughter most of the time. A life saved is a friend made, or at least a potential asset to use later. Sure, Kane views most people as cattle, but a farmer doesn't kill off his entire herd indiscriminately.
