Part of an underground mining complex. Like they said, they added A LOT of minibiome things. i love finding the outpost ones tho. nice items for customizing your ship, or a lab.

 

Not as strange as might been thought. At least to me. After all probably abandoned long ago before there was even an ocean. Possible that the world was once ice cap and that is all that remains when the ice melted.

Time; past, is an imaginative tool to come up with feasible meaning or findings. Kind of like archaeologists in our world finding something different than was reported, and finding something else that practically throws certain instances in a different direction in what was thought.

It is nice to see many different mini-biomes and structures underground. I even found a square box with only a single chest in it. Was not lit up, and almost didn't see it, if was not for the fact I nearly almost dug near enough for my mm to see this in the shadows. Very tiny room, roughly 7x7 or 8x8 room with a solo chest. Never know what you end up digging up.

 

I've found mainly the Outpost ones, the Glitch ones and U.S.C.M. ones while caving/mining underground. Those blue Outpost lights are good for lighting up the inside of your house/base, and only cost 500 pixels to duplicate in the 3D Printer.

Also, some of the Outpost mini-dungeons can contain a Coffee Machine. I've gotten two so far. One is in my ship, the other in my house at my home world.

These are also good sources of weapons, small amounts of ore and pixels, particularly the Glitch ones. In the Outpost one posted above, the loot is found in the red Mining Chest. Using the Ctrl key to pan around the area can help in finding these. Sometimes there are groups of more than one in an area.

 

I once found a 4x4 square of a 2-thick wall of heavy stone brick/block surrounding a single glitch chest. Like a time capsule full of fun loot.

 

I think that is what I was talking about... can't be sure on the size, but was adding in the border to that; since I dug that thing out. That was an interesting find that surprised me for a moment.

I found a microdungeon that was a Glitch torch on either side of a melty clock painting. It was a bit of surrealism in a bit of surrealism.

Even though the OP showed a few (3) of the microdungeons (and even asked "What's That?") via screenshots of game-provided content, there was plenty of discussion about game content from other members which in my mind makes this thread relevant to the General Discussion forum. Unless I'm misunderstanding the purpose of both forums.

 

@andysok Now that is the one i was talking about... Was amusing when I found it since it was literally buried in thick wall surrounding the 8x8. Looks like you found it more in the open near cave... I wasn't so lucky, as I could have missed it if was not for my MM searching habits; I was looking for ore at the time.

I almost missed the one I found because it didn't have a light. The only reason I caught it was because it was almost directly in the way of the path I was mining.

 

you should really decorate your captain's room... xD
start by adding a console like item in front of the captain's chair, tend to look pretty good

 

Yea, console infront of the captain's chair looks good. And another chair right infront of the window as 'pilot's chair'

Remember when you want to decorate it: it currently has no background
