Resolved [RESOLVED] Starbound won't start at all.

    Starbound isn't starting at all. I had recently refreshed my computer and now it just won't start, period. It doesn't even generate a starbound.log file that I can use for troubleshooting. Does anyone know what I did? I've already re-installed the game twice with no luck, and no mods were installed.

    Operating System: Windows 8.1, if that helps any.

    If it doesn't create even a log it might be a permission problem for it's own folder. Does a storage folder exist?

    A storage folder does not exist. Only the following folders exist:

    _CommonRedist
    assets
    doc
    mods
    tiled
    win32
    win64

    Try disabling UAC or try running starbound in administrator mode.

    Disabling UAC didn't do anything. I can't run Starbound in administrator mode because I'm running it through Steam.

    Any AV software running which might block starbound?

    Starting the game not through steam gives me an error about api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll missing from my computer. I'll install that and tell you if it works or not.

    Ahhh. Reinstall the vredist in the _CommonRedist folder and reboot your machine.
