EDIT: Thanks to lazarus78 and some other tutorials I found online I was able to make most of this mod by myself. Hello I am looking for a mod that increases the fuel costs. I just think it is a little bit too easy to travel between planets nowadays. Specifically I am looking for a mod that: no longer makes interplanetary travel free increases the fuel costs allows me to use coal as fuel Does a mod like this exist? If not could someone please make this for me? Or tell me how I could do it myself? Here are my suggestions fuel costs: Traveling to a new Planet within the same same Cluster: 25 fuel. Traveling to a new Cluster within the same Solar System: 50 fuel. Traveling to a new Solar System: 500 fuel. and coal will give 1 fuel. Thank you for reading my mod request.
Adding cost to intra-system travel is possible, though not at set values per se, but I don't think upping the cost of inter-system travel is. And adding coal to the fuel list is trivial. Just duplicate whatever plutonium does that make it a valid fuel. For intrasystem fuel cost, look in ..\interface\cockpit\cockpit.config for "intraSystemFuelcost" For Coal, add "fuelAmount" : 1 to it.
